Wii Thoughts: Ninendo Wii Mini Review

I have wanted a new console gaming system for quite some time. I wanted a Playstation 3, for a lot of reasons. But my Girlfriend wanted a Nintendo Wii and I have to admit, I wanted one too. So I had been off and on looking for one when I was in Best Buy, and other such stores.

This past Saturday I was in Best Buy with my Girlfriend and we saw that they had Wii’s in stock. So we went ahead and picked one up, it came with Wii Sports, and we bought Wii Play (which comes with a controller and the games for only $10 more, not a bad deal). We price shopped and also bought Guitar Hero: Legends of Rock for it as well.

iPhone NDA will NOT kill the App Store – it will make it better.

There has been a lot of chatter this week, and the past few weeks about the iPhone NDA that Apple has implemented. Lets talk about why:

-Developers can’t release books detailing how to develop.
-Developers can’t talk about why their app was blocked / removed.
-Overall it is to far reaching.

Well boo hoo. These are the main complaints that are circulating, and this probably is not a complete list.

But this is NOT going to kill development of iPhone Apps, and it is only going to make the App Store better. Why?

iPhone 2.1 update is the best.

The iPhone 2.1 update is out. It is a must update it has fixed most all problems that I was having with the phone. So go get it. No need to go over it’s fixes as it fixed pretty much all the bugs

Speed up your iPhone Sync time.

People giving up because of Filesharing?

Staying on the topic of the Internet this morning. I read an interesting article over on Torrent Freak. The gist of the article is that an Author has a book that was released to bittorrent well before it was finished, not the whole book just 12 chapters.

I have never heard of the author and I don’t care about her. The interesting point here is that she knows who leaked the book and is not mad at them. Instead she is mad at her fans who downloaded the book…

Wait… no that was not a typo I checked.

So she is mad at the people who are so eager to read it that they downloaded and incomplete version that is not the final draft. But not mad at the person who put it there?

This is like stupid. Dumbfounding, wow.

More proof ISPs are really out t make more $$$

So that 250gb / mo cap that Comcast is about to employ? Yeah it is going to be accompanied by a more expensive package that you can buy to get the unlimited package once again.

I am a little pissed about this. Time to use Surplus Meter on my Mac to determine how much bandwidth I use. I have a feeling I am around the 150-180gb per month mark. Yes I have a problem, no I am not going to do anything about it.
