First Impression: Unibody Macbook Pro

Well Christmas has come and gone, and it left me a new Macbook Pro (unibody). I have been playing with it and am using it full time. I am not prepared to do a full write up yet, but I do want to give me first impressions.

First things first the model we are talking about is the:

2.8ghz C2D
4 gb RAM
320gb 7200rpm Drive

This is basically the maxed out version.

Timebridge.com

16 12 2008

Just was made aware of a very neat little application (web based) for scheduling meetings with people. If you are a Mac user, and you love iCal (I know I do) then it probably frustrates you when you make a meeting, and send an invite out with the attendees feature, only to receive email replies. The problem lies in the fact that not every one uses Macs and iCal. Now even if they all use Macs, and you get that meeting declined notice in iCal, and you are wondering if they hate you, or if they are busy at that time.

There is no way of knowing, because when they respond to your invitation they can not enter a reason in. Outlook won’t open these invitations, and not many people I know use the Google Calendar.

So what to do, go old school and send out an email with a request. Sort through the changes and schedule a meeting, all of which takes time. Or you can try out Timebridge.com. This was made for this very reason. I have only tested it out with myself, but I am going to be using it very soon to get a meeting set up.
