New version of Evernote for the iPhone has just been released. It is a major update as you can now use the app in landscape mode invludimg typing and editing notes, and thumbnail views for browsing. A great app just got better.





iPhone + Productivity Apps

There are many different apps you can buy and put on the iPhone, claiming to increase productivity. Most of them don’t, but a few, if used right, really can.

The point of this post is not to review these apps but rahter to show you what I use and what I use them for.

Best iPhone Basecamp App

I was going to post a similar article today. But I have tried all the iPhone Basecamp apps, and Encamp is by far the best. Here is Macworld’s review. And contrary to what the review says you can indeed view files on it. Very slick app. The second best is a tie between Groundwork and Outpost, neither allows files as of this writing.





Review: Things

Things is a new GTD style task management app for the Mac by Cultured Code. I have used many applications that attempt to fill this void over the past 3 years, and while there are many good products, none met me needs. Things comes very close.

Before we get into the review, a few background items need to be addressed. First, I do not adhere to a strict GTD workflow. As with most GTDer’s I have modified the framework to best fit my personality this means that a straight GTD app that is set-up to strictly follow those rules often is difficult for me to use.

Having said that, since the inception of The Omnigroup’s OmniFocus program I have been using that application completely. I have tried other applications off and on and none suited me. That is until Things came around. I have been using this now for well over a month and have not looked back to OmniFocus.
